DNA Therapeutics has a promising and exquisitely positioned innovative siDNA technology and Dbait molecules developed by their founders, and a worldwide exclusively license from its parent public research institutions: Institut Curie, CNRS, INSERM and MNHN, which are committed to support further scientific and clinical development.

Three families of international patent applications cover major territories, including Europe, USA, Japan, China, Canada, Australia, India, etc. They protect the composition of matter of Dbait molecules, their mode of action, therapeutic applications. Their expiration dates are beyond 2025.

On January 13th, 2008, US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) issued first US patent of Dbait. Now two US patents covering the composition of matters and applications of Dbait have been granted by USPTO. On February 26, 2010, the European Patent Office (EPO) notified its decision to grant the first European patent of Dbait. On March 17, 2010, the Australian Patent Office (IP Australia) notified its decision to grant the first Dbait patent in Australia. Together, they greatly strengthen the company's IP position, and secure the development of its lead product DT01.

DNA Therapeutics is well aware of its IP assets and the importance of keeping exclusive rights and knowledge to preserve the company’s value and identity. It will claim intellectual property rights over inventions related to siDNA technology based innovative medicines and their applications.
