DNA Therapeutics aims at bridging the gap between translational research and late stage development of innovative medicines. It has a Virtually Integrated Pharmaceutical Company (VIPCo) organization with the assistance of experienced consultants. All non-core activities are out-sourced.

Prof. Jian-Sheng Sun, Ph.D, co-founder of DNA Therapeutics, serves as Chairman and CEO since its inception. In this capacity, he successfully accomplished seed and series A financing rounds, obtained public innovation promoting subsidies and research grants, in-lincensed company's core technologies from public research institutions. He currently focuses on defining business strategy, steers corporate development and establishes business network with the assistance of experienced professionals. He had a demonstrated track record during his 22 year academic research career with recognized expertises in nucleic acids and related biotechnologies and therapeutics: full professor, co-director of an INSERM-CNRS-MNHN jointly affiliated laboratory, +90 peer-reviewed publications, +10 book manuscripts and 4 patents, member of various scientific committees and consultant for pharmaceutical and biotech companies. He co-invented siDNA concept and technology with Dr. Dutreix. He received his Ph.D and Habilitation degrees in biophysics from the University Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris), and 1 year business training at the Paris HEC.
Dr. Marie Dutreix, Ph.D, is a Research Director in CNRS at the Institut Curie, an expert in DNA repair & genetic instability, cancer biology and radiobiology. Dr. Dutreix has about 40 publications in peer-reviewed international journals, and is the co-inventor of siDNA concept and technology. She co-founded DNA Therapeutics with Prof. Sun, and currently serves as acting Director of Research of DNA Therapeutics.
Dr. Denis Ravel, Ph.D, is the founder of Initial R&D consulting, with 22 year expertise in drug development at Servier (Paris), Genset (San Diego), Diatos (Paris). He has been a consultant for the company since 2007, and currently serves as acting director of Development of DNA Therapeutics.

Dr. Béatrice Denys, MD, MBA, joined Socété Général Asset Management (SGAM) in 2000 after 10 years spent in the pharmaceutical industry as product manager and business developer mainly at GlaxoSmithKline. At SGAM, she has been actively involved in the creation of 4 companies from scratch in France (in cardiovascular area, infectious disease, diagnostic and medical device supply). Since 2006, she has been appointed as SGAM SEFTI's (Specialized European Fund for Therapeutic Innovation) investment manager. In this capacity, she aims at creating from scratch a healthcare company portfolio, stemming from academic research, mainly in cardiovascular area. She is a medical doctor and graduated from the ESSEC (Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales), Paris.
Dr. Bernard Majoie, Pharm. Ph.D, former President of Fournier Group acquired by Sovlay, now Abbott. Under his direction, the pharmaceutical sales was multiplied by 20 in 30 years, thanks to a policy of permanent innovation by constantly working with the authorities in order to make the regulatory, legal and economical environment friendly to innovation, internationalization and partnerships. He founded Blue Medical Investments which does not simply act as consultant or passive investor, but as active coach, business angel, facilitator and enhancer to increase the value creation of innovative products in the healthcare area. He also founded the Foundation Fournier Majoie for Innovation which provide support from the initial stage to entrepreneurs personally committed to promoting innovative projects aimed at delivering improvements in the health and welfare of human beings, thereby encouraging initial or ongoing entrepreneurship through innovation and team building.
Mr. Matthieu Coutet, M.Sc, investment manager at the INSERM Transfert Initiative, an established seed venture capital firm investing in life science in France. The INSERM Transfert Initiative is a subsidiary of the INSERM Transfert, the Technology Transfer Office of the INSERM (French NIH). In this capacity, he has been responsible of investing in 4 start-up companies (including DNA Therapeutics), and representing the INSERM Transfert Initiative at the board of those companies. He holds a master degree in management and finance from the business school of technology (ISTM), Paris.

Eric Viaud, M.Sc., is co-founder and CEO of Gene Signal,a research based biotechnology company specialized in the discovery, development, and commercialization of a new class of oligonucleotides, proteins and monoclonal antibodies to treat a range of conditions where angiogenesis plays a determinant role. He successfully brought the company from the drug discovery phase to the current clinical development phases. Eric Viaud has a demonstrated track record as a biotech entrepreneur, having successfully overseen and led the development of several Biotech start-up ventures. He is currently an Advisor and Board Member of various biotech companies in Europe. He began his career in the Pharmaceuticals Industry and then later moved to Medical Devices. He has held Senior Management positions in the field of sales & marketing, licensing, strategic alliances and R&D. He also has extensive experience in the regulatory & reimbursement fields. He holds a Master in Psychology from the University of Bordeaux (France).
